This single tube female threaded core barrel is provided with conical reaming shell, a standard core lifter, in the case of medium-hard formations or basket retainer, in the case of loose material.
Because of rotating in contact with flowing water it is limited to homogeneous strata and application where high core recovery is not essential.
This double core barrel gives a high penetration because of the small cutting surface. The inner non rotating tube preserves the sample from the torsional stress of the rods and prevents from washing out the core.
